Long time LPC employee Amy Kleinschrodt, who is a member of Buccaneer Yacht Club in Mobile, and her crew of Sara Hall and Ashley Hall won the Mrs. Charles Francis Adams Trophy and gold medals for First Place in the 2009 U.S. Women’s Sailing Championship. Amy and her crew will defend their title on Lake Michigan in 2010.

ASHLEY E. SWINK

Originally from Wetumpka, Alabama, Ashley is a graduate of Auburn University and the Emory University School of Law. As part of her commercial and business litigation practice, she represents and advises both businesses and individuals on matters including contractual disputes, banking law, and issues affecting securities and shareholders. Her employment practice includes assisting clients in drafting employment policies, procedures, and handbooks and she often works with employers on issues involving technology in the workplace, e-discovery, and document/data retention. In addition, Ashley regularly defends employers against charges filed with the EEOC and in federal and state employment litigation. Ashley has a particular interest in cases involving the intersection of business and employment litigation, such as trade secrets, covenants not to compete, and non-solicitation/non-disclosure agreements.
Ashley is admitted to practice in the State of Alabama and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Ashley is active in the Alabama State Bar, and is a graduate of the Bar’s Leadership Forum. She served as chair of the State’s Law Day activities in 2008-2009, and has been appointed to serve a second term for 2009-2010. Alabama Super Lawyers (2010) named Ashley as a Rising Star in the practice area of General Litigation.
Ashley primarily practices in the firm’s Baldwin County office, and resides in Orange Beach, Alabama.
