Long time LPC employee Amy Kleinschrodt, who is a member of Buccaneer Yacht Club in Mobile, and her crew of Sara Hall and Ashley Hall won the Mrs. Charles Francis Adams Trophy and gold medals for First Place in the 2009 U.S. Women’s Sailing Championship. Amy and her crew will defend their title on Lake Michigan in 2010.

Lyons, Pipes & Cook is pleased to announce A. Kelly Sessoms has been elected to a 3 year term as District 3 Director for the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association and elected Vice-President of the Russell-Blass-Walker American Inn of Court for 2009.
Practice Areas:Appellate Advocacy, Insurance Coverage Litigation. William is from Alexander City, Alabama. He has practiced with LPC since graduating from law school in 1987.
William received his undergraduate degree in history from Davidson College in 1984. He received his J.D. from the University of Alabama Law School in 1987. His practice focuses on appeals in civil cases. He has handled more than 90 appeals and petitions for extraordinary writ to the Alabama Supreme Court, Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, and United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Alabama, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
William also handles insurance-coverage disputes. He has represented insurers in numerous coverage matters, preparing coverage opinions, prosecuting declaratory-judgment actions, defending breach-of-contract/bad-faith cases, and intervening on behalf of insurers in actions against insureds.
William is a member of the Defense Research Institute and its Appellate Advocacy Committee; the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and its Amicus Curiae Committee; the American Bar Association, its Litigation Section and Insurance Coverage and Appellate Practice Committees; the Mobile Bar Association and its Appellate Practice Committee; and the Alabama State Bar and its Appellate Practice Section. William is the author of articles on pro-ami settlements and post judgment motions published in the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association Journal, the co-author of chapters on ethics and attorney's fees in a seminar publication, and has spoken at appellate seminars. William is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Alabama Super Lawyers in appellate law and insurance.
William is a member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. He is married to the former Tracy Martin and has two children.
