Sara Elizabeth Lee is going to be speaking at a CLE scheduled for May 20, 2008 in Mobile at the Radisson Admiral Semmes Hotel. The CLE, entitled "The Art of the Settlement," is sponsored by National Business Institute. The topics she will be presenting include: "How to Succeed at Settlement Conferences," "Using Mediation When Settlements Don't Work," and participation in a mock settlement negotiation.

Lyons, Pipes & Cook is pleased to announce that A. Kelly Sessoms, III and Barry W. Andrews have joined the firm as partners. Mr. Sessoms will practice in the firm's Mississippi office and Mr. Andrews will practice in the firm's Mobile office.

Robert C. Matthews and A. Grady "Bo" Williams, IV have joined the firm as associates. Mr. Matthews and Mr. Williams will practice in the firm's Mobile office.

Kelly is a partner with the firm. He joined Lyons, Pipes & Cook 2007 in the firm's Pascagoula office. He practices civil litigation before state and federal courts in Mississippi as well as being admitted before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court.

Born in Waycross, Georgia, Kelly graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Psychology in 1989. He obtained his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1992. While at Ole Miss, Kelly was an Associate Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and Editor of the Journal of Space Law. He is a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Kelly is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and served as Young Lawyers Division President during 2004-2005. He is also a member of the Jackson County Bar Association (President, 2000-2001), the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the Russell-Blass-Walker Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Kelly is active in community and civic organizations in Jackson County, Mississippi including membership in the Pascagoula Kiwanis Club (President, 2001-2002) and the Pascagoula Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Gulf Coast Business Council. Kelly serves as board attorney for the Pascagoula School District and is also on the board of directors for the Mississippi Council of School Board Attorneys. His practice focuses on general litigation, personal injury defense, premises liability, automobile litigation, construction litigation, commercial disputes and education/school law.

Kelly is married to Elizabeth (Lane) Sessoms. They have two children and are members of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.
