Long time LPC employee Amy Kleinschrodt, who is a member of Buccaneer Yacht Club in Mobile, and her crew of Sara Hall and Ashley Hall won the Mrs. Charles Francis Adams Trophy and gold medals for First Place in the 2009 U.S. Women’s Sailing Championship. Amy and her crew will defend their title on Lake Michigan in 2010.

Brian grew up in Jackson County, Mississippi. In 1988, he attended New York University on an academic scholarship where he obtained undergraduate and graduate degrees in Dramatic Writing. Thereafter, he moved to Mobile and taught Screenwriting to graduate and undergraduate students at the University of South Alabama.
In 1997, Brian joined the Mobile Police Department, where he rose to the rank of sergeant. Over the course of his career, Brian was assigned to the Jaguar Unit, the Tactical Response Unit (SWAT), and the Underage Drinking Task Force. Brian was also a diver on the Underwater Recovery Unit, a police sniper, and an instructor at the Mobile Police Academy.
Brian left the police department in 2004 to join Lyons, Pipes & Cook as the firm’s investigator while he attended Faulkner University's Jones School of Law on the Walter J. Knabe academic scholarship. Brian was an editor of the law review and is the author of “Thou Shalt Not Expunge,” a case note discussing the Mobile Press Register's lawsuit against the Mobile Municipal Court for its expungement policies. While attending law school, Brian gained experience working with the Supreme Court of Alabama in the area of criminal appeals.
Brian is licensed to practice in Alabama and Mississippi. He practices primarily in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and special investigations. He also researches changes in the law which may allow Alabama residents to repair their criminal histories.
Brian is actively involved with various local non-profit organizations such as Run From Trouble and the Mobile Law Enforcement Foundation, and he is a member of the Creekwood Church of Christ. He is a husband and father of two.
