Sara Elizabeth Lee is going to be speaking at a CLE scheduled for May 20, 2008 in Mobile at the Radisson Admiral Semmes Hotel. The CLE, entitled "The Art of the Settlement," is sponsored by National Business Institute. The topics she will be presenting include: "How to Succeed at Settlement Conferences," "Using Mediation When Settlements Don't Work," and participation in a mock settlement negotiation.

Practice Areas: Criminal Defense, Domestic Relations and Civil Trials.

Ken is a partner of the firm. Born in Mobile Alabama, Ken has practiced with LPC since 1994. Ken regularly practices in all state courts and in Federal Court for the Southern District of Alabama.

Ken is Vice President / President Elect of the Criminal Justice Section of the Alabama State Bar Association and past President of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He was the Chairman of the Domestic Relations Committee of the Mobile Bar Association (2004-2005). He is a life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a member of the National College of D.U.I. Defense. Ken is a member of the Criminal Practice Committee of the Mobile Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Federal Defenders Association for the Southern District of Alabama. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and was elected by the members of the Mobile County Bar Association to serve on the Judicial Nomination Commission. Ken is a founding member and on the board of directors of the Mobile Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Additionally, Ken was appointed to serve as a Special District Judge by the Supreme Court of Alabama and served as the Presiding Municipal Judge for the City of Satsuma for over ten years.

Ken has authored numerous articles on varying aspects of criminal defense law including "Municipal Court Practice and Procedure," "Defending D.U.I. cases,"  "The Art of Effective Plea Negotiations." and "Defending Cases Involving Eye Witness Testimony"  He presents seminars on criminal law issues to lawyers and other professionals throughout the state of Alabama.
