Long time LPC employee Amy Kleinschrodt, who is a member of Buccaneer Yacht Club in Mobile, and her crew of Sara Hall and Ashley Hall won the Mrs. Charles Francis Adams Trophy and gold medals for First Place in the 2009 U.S. Women’s Sailing Championship. Amy and her crew will defend their title on Lake Michigan in 2010.

Lyons, Pipes & Cook is pleased to announce A. Kelly Sessoms has been elected to a 3 year term as District 3 Director for the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association and elected Vice-President of the Russell-Blass-Walker American Inn of Court for 2009.

Caroline has been with the firm since 1984, when she started as a summer clerk. She is actively involved in the management of the firm.
Caroline was born in Jackson, Mississippi and grew up in south Louisiana. She received her B. A. degree, cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 1983 and her J.D. degree, summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in 1986. Her practice concentrates on insurance coverage and firm management.
While in law school, Caroline coauthored "Parents, Psychologists & Child Custody Disputes: Protecting the Privilege and the Children" Issue 37:2 Alabama Law Review. She was senior editor of the Alabama Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif and as a Hugo Black Scholar.She also received the M. Leigh Harrison Award for academic performance and meritorious legal research and writing.
Caroline is a member of the Mobile Bar Association, Alabama State Bar Association, American Bar Association and is licensed to practice in all Alabama State and Federal Courts. She is also a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. Caroline was named an Alabama Super Lawyer for 2009 and included in The Best Lawyers in America 2009.
Caroline is married to Brian McCarthy and they have three children. She is involved in numerous community organizations, currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, recently served on the Executive Task Force for DASH for the Gulf Coast, is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Mobile, and is an active member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.
