A. Kelly Sessoms, in the firm’s Pascagoula office, has been included in the 2009 Mid-South Super Lawyers for Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Allen “Teeto” Graham was recently elected Treasurer of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.

Long time LPC employee Amy Kleinschrodt, who is a member of Buccaneer Yacht Club in Mobile, and her crew of Sara Hall and Ashley Hall won the Mrs. Charles Francis Adams Trophy and gold medals for First Place in the 2009 U.S. Women’s Sailing Championship. Amy and her crew will defend their title on Lake Michigan in 2010.

A. Kelly Sessoms has been elected a Fellow of the Young Lawyers of the Mississippi Bar.

Lyons, Pipes & Cook is pleased to announce that five of its attorneys have been selected for inclusion on the Alabama Super Lawyers 2009 list.  Lawyers chosen were Thomas F. Garth, Allen E. "Teeto" GrahamCaroline C. McCarthy, William E. Shreve, Jr. and Cooper C. Thurber.  Additionally, Cooper C. Thurber has been named to the Top 50 List. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.  Selections for Super Lawyers are made by the publisher, Law  & Politics who undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process from more than 70 practice areas.

Beth joined Lyons, Pipes & Cook in August of 2004, after having clerked with the firm for two summers.

A native of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Beth graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. degree in Finance, cum laude, in 2001.  She subsequently obtained a J.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2004.  While attending law school, Beth was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, Defense Lawyer’s Association, Farrah Law Society, and she received the George Peach Taylor award for trial advocacy.

Beth is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Mobile Bar Association, Baldwin County Bar Association, and the Executive Committee of the Mobile Bar's Young Lawyer Division.  She served as Treasurer of the Mobile Bar Association in 2009, she currently serves as a Young Lawyers Section Director for the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, is a member of the Defense Research Institute, and is a board member of the Mobile Volunteer Lawyers' Program.  Beth is also a member of the Junior Executive Committee of the American Cancer Society, a member of the board of America's Junior Miss and a graduate of the Alabama Leadership Initiative in 2008.

Beth was admitted to the Alabama Bar in September of 2004.  She is also certified to practice before the U.S. District Courts of Alabama in the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts.
