Sara Elizabeth Lee is going to be speaking at a CLE scheduled for May 20, 2008 in Mobile at the Radisson Admiral Semmes Hotel. The CLE, entitled "The Art of the Settlement," is sponsored by National Business Institute. The topics she will be presenting include: "How to Succeed at Settlement Conferences," "Using Mediation When Settlements Don't Work," and participation in a mock settlement negotiation.

Lyons, Pipes & Cook invests in downtown Mobile.

Lyons, Pipes & Cook is pleased to announce that A. Kelly Sessoms, III and Barry W. Andrews have joined the firm as partners. Mr. Sessoms will practice in the firm's Mississippi office and Mr. Andrews will practice in the firm's Mobile office.

Beth is an associate member of the firm. Beth joined Lyons, Pipes & Cook in August of 2004, after having clerked with the firm for two summers.

A native of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Beth graduated from The University of Alabama with a B.A. degree in Finance, cum laude, in 2001. She subsequently obtained a J.D. degree from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2004. While attending law school, Beth was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, Defense Lawyer’s Association, Farrah Law Society, and she received the George Peach Taylor award for trial advocacy.

Beth is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Mobile Bar Association, Baldwin County Bar Association, and the Executive Committee of the Mobile Bar's Young Lawyer Division. She serves as a assistant treasurer of the Mobile Bar Association and is a board member of the Mobile Volunteer Lawyers' Program. Beth is also a member of the Junior Executive Committee of the American Cancer Society.

Beth was admitted to the Alabama Bar in September of 2004. Her practice focuses on general litigation.
