Sara Elizabeth Lee is going to be speaking at a CLE scheduled for May 20, 2008 in Mobile at the Radisson Admiral Semmes Hotel. The CLE, entitled "The Art of the Settlement," is sponsored by National Business Institute. The topics she will be presenting include: "How to Succeed at Settlement Conferences," "Using Mediation When Settlements Don't Work," and participation in a mock settlement negotiation.

Lyons, Pipes & Cook is pleased to announce that A. Kelly Sessoms, III and Barry W. Andrews have joined the firm as partners. Mr. Sessoms will practice in the firm's Mississippi office and Mr. Andrews will practice in the firm's Mobile office.

Practice Areas: Insurance Defense and Commerical Litigation.

Mandy began practicing law as an associate with Upshaw Williams Biggers Beckham & Riddick, LLP in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2003. She practiced in the areas of insurance defense litigation, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mandy grew up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where she played competitive tennis most of her life. She attended the University of Mississippi (better known as Ole Miss) and Spring Hill College for her undergraduate education. While attending Spring Hill, Mandy played collegiate tennis for the college and received a B.S. in accounting in 1999. In May of 2003, Mandy received her J.D. degree from University of Mississippi.

Mandy is licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Alabama. Currently, she is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Alabama Bar Association, American Bar Association, Hinds County Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, United States Court of Appeals, United States District Court Southern and Northern Division, Supreme Court of Mississippi, Committee Member for Mississippi Young Lawyers Division, Alabama Defense Trial Lawyers Association. Mandy joined Lyons, Pipes & Cook as an associate in June 2006.
