Lyons, Pipes & Cook is pleased to announce that Britten L. Britt has been recognized as one of the Bay area’s “40 Under 40” in Mobile Bay Monthly magazine.  This award  recognizes 40 of the top local individuals under the age of 40 “who demonstrate leadership, professional excellence and a commitment to the Bay area community”.

A. Kelly Sessoms, in the firm’s Pascagoula office, has been included in the 2009 Mid-South Super Lawyers for Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Allen “Teeto” Graham was recently elected Treasurer of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.

Long time LPC employee Amy Kleinschrodt, who is a member of Buccaneer Yacht Club in Mobile, and her crew of Sara Hall and Ashley Hall won the Mrs. Charles Francis Adams Trophy and gold medals for First Place in the 2009 U.S. Women’s Sailing Championship. Amy and her crew will defend their title on Lake Michigan in 2010.

Jordan joined Lyons, Pipes & Cook in August of 2008, after having clerked with the firm for two summers and working as Case Clerk Coordinator with Kutak Rock, LLP, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Jordan grew up in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, Georgia where he graduated from Milton High School. After investing his freshman year at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina on an academic and athletic scholarship, Jordan transferred to the University of Georgia where he graduated cum laude carrying a double major in History and Sociology. While at UGA, he earned a position on the Varsity baseball team and was recognized as a scholar-athlete in addition to being acknowledged by various academic and scholarship honor societies.

Jordan subsequently obtained his J.D. from the University of Alabama in 2008.  While attending law school he served as Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, President of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, Associate Justice on the Honor Court, Student Representative and Committee Chairperson on the Student Bar Association, and research assistant for the Alabama Law Institute.

Jordan was admitted to the Alabama Bar in September of 2008 and the Florida Bar in 2009. He is also certified to practice before the U.S. District Courts of Alabama in the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts.
Jordan currently presides as the President of the University of Georgia Alumni Association Club of Mobile.

A resident of Mobile, Jordan enjoys tennis, golf, baseball and fishing.
