We are pleased to announce Jay Minus was elected as ADLA Director for District IV, Will Gamble was elected as President Elect of the ADLA Young Lawyers Section, and Beth Lee was elected as ADLA Young Lawyers Section Director.

Todd was born in Fairfax County, Virginia. He graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula, in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Political Science. In 1993, Todd earned a Master of Arts Degree (M.A.) in History from the University of Montana. Commissioned through R.O.T.C. during college, Todd served in the United States Army at Fort Still, Oklahoma and overseas in the Federal Republic of Germany. Todd attained the rank of Captain during his tour of duty in the armed forces. After the service, Todd held positions of responsibility in both the public and private sectors. In 2003, Todd received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Montana School of Law and later attended New York University School of Law where he earned a Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM) in 2004.

Todd's practice focuses primarily in the areas of partnership and corporate taxation, tax controversy, property transactions, trust and estates, charitable organizations, international taxation and elder law. He also handles corporate law and business planning issues.

Todd was admitted to the Montana State Bar in 2004, the Alabama State Bar in 2005 and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, as well as the U.S. Tax Court. Currently, Todd is a member of the American Bar Association where he participates in the Section of Business Law and International Developments in Corporate Governance. He is also a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Montana State Bar Association and the Board of Directors of the Alabama Federal Tax Clinic, Inc. Locally, he is a member of the Mobile and Baldwin County Bar Associations and the Estate Planning Council of Mobile, Inc.

Todd resides in Spanish Fort, Alabama with his wife, Shannon Denison, and their two Labrador Retrievers.
