We are pleased to announce Jay Minus was elected as ADLA Director for District IV, Will Gamble was elected as President Elect of the ADLA Young Lawyers Section, and Beth Lee was elected as ADLA Young Lawyers Section Director.

Practice Areas: Probate and Estate Planning, Business and Tax Planning, Trusts and Estates.

Britten was born in Fairhope, Alabama and graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. degree, cum laude, in 1997. In 2001, she obtained her M.B.A. from Samford University and J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. Britten received her LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law in 2002.

Britten was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2001, the Alabama Bar in 2002 and the Florida Bar in 2005. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, as well as the U.S. Tax Court.

Britten’s area of practice focuses primarily in the areas of probate and estate planning, business and tax planning and trusts and estates. She also handles corporate transactions, family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, corporate tax matters, charitable foundations and assists in the preparation of fiduciary estate tax returns.

Britten is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association and the Mobile County and Baldwin County Bar Associations. She also serves on the executive committee of the Estate Planning Council of Mobile, as co-chair of the Mercy Medical Foundation, and as a member of the Thomas Hospital Foundation.

Britten currently resides on the Eastern Shore with her husband, Brian Britt, and daughter, Maggie.
